How can an agricultural company reduce irrigation energy costs?

Measure pump consumption and relate it to water volume, pumping head, efficiency and the seasonal irrigation schedule. Compare PV generation with the hours when pumps operate, and assess whether water storage or a revised schedule can increase daytime use of solar energy. Add electrical storage only where the required service justifies it. Estimate savings from actual consumption and costs rather than installed PV power alone.
